Welcome to My Travel Page

I would like to welcome everyone to my travel blog. Sit back, relax and take in one of the top ranking honeymoon destinations the world has to offer.

I have travelled around the world and nothing beats the love I have for my Island via this page...

Everything on this page and the other linked pages relates to information, tips and tricks to get the most of your visit to Saint Lucia when that may be.

The island of Saint Lucia is unlike any other island you're going to visit anywhere else in the world. The island is the only island to boast a therapeutic drive-in volcano and sulphur hot baths, which locals believe contain medicinal values and encourage tourists to have them. Not forgetting the beaches and the waterfalls which are all so soothing and rejuvenate you!!

I do hope you enjoy the journey through my page and when you're done, any questions just hit us up on our Contact Us Page!!

History & Culture of Saint Lucia

A Brief History of Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia’s story begins long before modern tourism. From its Indigenous peoples to European contact, the island has always been a place of movement, trade and cultural exchange. Today, its history is visible in its landmarks, language and traditions.

Early Peoples & Colonial Era

The island was first settled by the Arawaks and later the Kalinago (Caribs), who called it “Hewanorra”. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Saint Lucia became a strategic prize fought over by the French and British, changing hands several times before British control was firmly established.

Independence & a New Identity

Saint Lucia achieved independence on 22 February 1979, becoming a sovereign nation while remaining part of the Commonwealth. Since then the island has developed its own political voice and cultural confidence, balancing Caribbean identity with global connections.
